In early-September, The Nevada Hotel and Lodging Association hosted the 12^th annual Stars of the Industry Hospitality Awards Gala. The event celebrated the exceptional professionalism and outstanding service of top individuals in our industry with eleven Boyd Gaming team members being nominated!

In total, 16 prestigious awards were given out throughout the event to non-management, supervisory and management employees. Both Linda Daly, Hotel Director at Sam’s Town Las Vegas, and Joseph Brown, Butcher at Fremont Hotel and Casino, secured two of the most prestigious awards for going above and beyond in their everyday work.

During the gala, Linda was recognized as Management Professional of the Year for her unparalleled skills and leadership over the last 31 years at Boyd Gaming. Her guidance has been instrumental in the success of Sam’s Town and her contributions extend beyond the property level. She demonstrates the Company’s core values in her every endeavor and her dedication to excellence is commendable.

Linda mentioned, “The award is meaningful to me because the nomination came from the peers in the industry. These are peers I admire and respect for the jobs they do, and I was absolutely flattered by the nomination! As a department leader with Boyd Gaming, I appreciate every opportunity I have to train and mentor our new team members who are starting on their path.”

Joseph Brown, a dedicated butcher at Fremont for an impressive 57 years, was then honored as Food & Beverage Star of the Year. Joseph has left an indelible mark on our organization through his extraordinary commitment to craft and unwavering loyalty to the Company. His remarkable record of never missing a day of work stands as a testament to his unparalleled work ethic.
